FAQ

IV nutrient therapy is a safe and effective treatment for most people. It may not be recommended for people with kidney or liver disease and congestive heart failure.

Receiving IV nutrient therapy is a comfortable experience. While seated in a reclining chair, venous access is obtained using a small needle or catheter. Simply put your feet up and relax for 20 minutes to 2 hours depending on the type of IV administered.

It’s not uncommon to feel warm, very relaxed or as if you’re tasting something during treatment. These are all normal responses. Approximately 10% of people feel fatigued for a few hours after treatment, followed by enhanced energy. This is also a normal response, and makes sense as your cells have just been rejuvenated and need a temporary rest.

This will depend on why you’re receiving IV nutrient therapy. Dr. Murphy, ND will discuss the frequency of treatments with you during your assessment with her.

Please arrive hydrated, and be sure to have had a meal within 3 hours of receiving treatment. You may wish to bring a book or headphones to further relax.

Prices range from $20-35 for IV booster shots and $125-200 for different IV formulas. Please note that IV booster shots must be added to IV formulas. Treatments are tax exempt. Many extended health insurance plans cover IV nutrient therapy under naturopathic medicine. Please check with your provider for details
